Buckskin Mountain State Park Celebrates the 60th Anniversary of Arizona State Parks & Trails

To mark the 60th anniversary for Arizona State Parks & Trails, Buckskin Mountain State Park in Parker, Ariz. is celebrating with a fun-filled event on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
The activities will begin at 9 a.m. and include a Dutch Oven chili cook off, beer garden sponsored by Parker Chamber of Commerce, food vendor, vintage trailer show, flat bottom boats, classic car show and shine, Parker 4 Wheelers, “mussel” cars sponsored by Anderson Dealership, Bradley Chevrolet and Parker Motor Co., live feeds and giveaways by Jack FM Radio with Tijuana Tim, a live band featuring Chuck E. Bumps & the Crocodiles, pin-up contest, and an in-park poker run. The theme of the event is “Then and Now.” Everyone is invited to attend.
“This event is a great way to celebrate the 60 years that Arizona State Parks & Trails has been somewhere you can spend time with your family, have an adventure or just enjoy the scenery,” said Sue Black, executive director of Arizona State Parks & Trails.
“Arizona State Parks & Trails is a gold medal award-winning agency,” said Park Manager Jerry Rather. “We’re really excited to host this event and celebrate our diamond anniversary.”
WHAT: 60th Anniversary Celebration – cost is $10 per vehicle for four adults.
