Olympic Distance Triathlon at Patagonia Lake State Park on October 29
October 4, 2016
PHOENIX - Race Arizona, LLC will hold an Olympic Distance Triathlon at Patagonia Lake State Park on Saturday, October 29, 2016 starting at 6 a.m. Professional, or amateur athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and spectators are all welcome to attend! Bring your friends and family to cheer you on to victory.
A true Olympic distance event features a 1500-meter swim, 24.6-mile bike, and 10K run. The event will start at Patagonia Lake State Park on the swim course, then transition to a rigorous, hilly climb on an all-paved bike course. The 10K run is on the Sonoita Creek trailhead, on mixed dirt and pavement, and also has some climbing. This will be a truly challenging course, with low traffic, and very scenic. A Sprint triathlon was added last year with a 500-meter swim, an 8-mile rigorous, hilly climb on the bike, and a 5K run on mixed dirt and pavement. Aquabike, 10K run, 5K run, and Relay Team are all available. Visit http://patagoniatri.com/ for full details about the event.
