Town of Camp Verde Celebrates Corn Fest July 14-15 Fort Verde State Historic Park Joins in the Festivities on July 15

July 7, 2017

PHOENIX – It's Corn Fest in Camp Verde on July 14-15, 2017! Come celebrate the town's signature summer event with festivities Friday and Saturday throughout the Town. Stop by Fort Verde State Historic Park on July 15 and enjoy a vintage baseball game at 10 a.m. with vintage style uniforms, bats and balls. Also at the Fort at 1 p.m. on July 15, re-enactors will portray Martha & Jack Summerhayes. Martha shared her observations about Arizona, the West and her experience as a military wife in her 1908 autobiography, “Vanished Arizona.”

Corn Fest was first celebrated over 20 years ago, and pays homage to the Hauser Family Farm’s famous sweet corn. This "corny" old-fashioned family event, sponsored by Camp Verde Promotions, will have plenty of food, fun, games, music, vendors, and of course, sweet corn to be held on the soccer field, next door to Fort Verde.
