Spice Up Your May at Patagonia Lake State Park's 20th Annual Mariachi Festival on May 21

PHOENIX - Make plans to head south for the sounds of traditional and modern Mexican Mariachi Band music. Patagonia Lake State Park, near Nogales, will host the 20th Annual Mariachi Festival at Boulder Beach on Saturday, May 21, 2016 (see full lineup below).
The day's activities will include a wide variety of Southern Arizona Mariachi bands and dancers on stage. On-hand at the Mariachi Festival will be authentic Mexican food, hot dogs, hamburgers, kettle corn and shaved ice. Visitors may bring their own picnic basket and kids can enjoy a piñata at noon! Don't forget to bring: plenty of water, lawn chairs, sunscreen and hat.
10 a.m.: Mariachi Innovacion
11 a.m.: Mariachi Sol Azteca
12:15 p.m.: Viva Performing Arts Center/ Ballet Folklorico
1:15 p.m.: Mariachi Nueva Melodia
2:15 p.m.: Nogales High School Mariachi Apache
3:15 p.m.: Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School
The cost of the Mariachi Festival is Patagonia Lake State Park's entrance fee of $15 per vehicle for up to four adults (fee per additional adult is $3). The fee for walk-in visitors is $3. The Park Entrance Station opens at 7 a.m. Electric campsites are available starting at $27 to $30 per night and non-electric campsites are available for $20 per night. Patagonia Lake State Park will have overflow parking available and a shuttle service to the event area. Visitors should arrive early for best parking.
