Popular Mariachi Festival Returns to Patagonia Lake State Park

May 6, 2022

PHOENIX – After a two-year hiatus, Patagonia Lake State Park announces its annual Mariachi Festival is back and better than ever on Saturday, May 21! This popular event has been offered at the state park for more than 20 years.

Enjoy Mariachi bands and dancers from Sonora, Mexico, and enjoy authentic Mexican food, Sonoran dogs and other festival fare all day long! Kids can try their hand at a piñata and have their face painted. The colorful and elaborate costumes, distinctive sounds of guitars and trumpets, and favorite local flavors are a delight for the senses.

Adults are invited to the event's wine tasting to sample from local wineries, breweries, and distilleries. New to the event this year is a car show for attendees to see unique and memorable automobiles.

Patagonia Lake State Park boasts a swimming beach, boat tours and rentals, as well RV, tent, boat-in campsites and camping cabins. This park offers year-round recreation opportunities for visitors to enjoy in addition to special events like the Mariachi Festival.

Arizona State Parks reminds event attendees to bring plenty of water and to wear sun protection! Cost is $20 for a vehicle. Overflow parking and shuttle service will be available.
