Havasu Riviera Marina Announces Updates
December 14, 2021
PHOENIX — Arizona State Parks & Trails, Lake Havasu City and Komick Enterprises today announced updates on the upcoming opening of the Havasu Riviera Marina.
The partnership between Arizona State Parks & Trails, Lake Havasu City and Komick Enterprises was formed in 2016. Planning and development efforts for the marina been ongoing, with several key informational developments now available to the public.
Havasu Riviera Marina is being developed by Komick Enterprises through a concession lease with Arizona State Parks and Trails. This will be operated as a concession of Lake Havasu State Park, not as a separate state park – an original term of the agreement. The project is being 100% designed, funded, constructed and operated with non-public funds through this public/private partnership. No state, federal or tax-payer dollars are being used to construct or operate the project.
“After looking at various solutions and finalizing the operation of the marina, we stayed consistent to the original terms of the agreement and will open Havasu Riviera as a concession of Lake Havasu State Park,” said Bob Broscheid, executive director of Arizona State Parks and Trails.
Arizona State Parks and Trails works with concessionaires at several other state parks, including a marina at Patagonia Lake State Park, watercraft rental at Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area, café and gift shop at Kartchner Caverns State Park, equestrian trail rides at Dead Horse Ranch State Park and a separate watercraft rental at Lake Havasu State Park.
The project will feature a six-lane boat launch, large marina with short term and long-term rentals in a variety of sizes, a marina store, fuel dock and dry use areas. Future improvements will include a restaurant and bar, banquet facility and future dry boat storage facility with concierge services.
The Havasu Riviera Marina is located on public lands and will be available to all Lake Havasu City residents and visitors. Users may access the facilities through day-use fees or an annual pass. Short and long-term boat slip rentals will be available. The independent annual pass will be available for purchase for users of Havasu Riviera Marina on havasurivieramarina.com prior to the opening of the concession.
The project is anticipated to open to the public in spring 2022. For more information and updates, please visit www.havasurivieramarina.com
