Arizona State Parks and Trails Announces Change to Reservations

March 1, 2022

PHOENIX – This summer, Arizona State Parks and Trails will begin working with US eDirect to provide campground, cabin, tour and event reservations for its more than 30 parks throughout the state. This change will bring enhanced services and features to the nearly 3 million visitors to the parks.

On March 18, 2022, Arizona State Parks and Trails will stop taking advance reservations beyond October 2, 2022. This is a temporary change from the previous policy that allows reservations up to a year in advance. This will facilitate a data transfer from the agency’s current vendor to US eDirect. Once the new reservation site is live, reservations will once again open for up to a year in advance.

“We appreciate our visitors’ patience as we transition to our new vendor,” said Bob Broscheid, executive director of Arizona State Parks and Trails. “This is a very exciting time for our agency, and we look forward to launching our new reservation site and call center later this summer. Stay tuned for more information about new features and improvements!”

The goal of limiting advance reservations over the next few months is to ensure that all customer data transitions to the new system with minimal complications or overbooking. For information about the transition and the limited reservations, please visit AZStateParks.com/new-reservation-system.

Once live, visitors will be able to reserve campsites, cabins, cave tours at Kartchner Caverns State Park, tours at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park, and special events with limited capacity by visiting AZStateParks.com or calling 877-MY-PARKS. US eDirect will manage both the reservation system and the reservation call center.
