Halloween Events with Arizona State Parks and Trails
October 19, 2018
PHOENIX – Halloween is on its way, and you can celebrate with eerie events for all ages with Arizona State Parks and Trails!
In the northern region, Flagstaff Special Evening Halloween Tours at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park offer a guided tour of the mansion complete with spine-chilling storytelling! For kids eight and older, Riordan Mansion also hosts Flagstaff Special Afternoon Hallo-Tween Tours, a similar experience for a younger age group. Prepare to be spooked this October 26, 27, and 30!
If you’re headed south, attend the Halloween party at Kartchner Caverns State Park on Friday, October 26 for games, crafts, and bats! Costumes are encouraged for the whole family, and you can support the local food bank by donating a can of non-perishable food, which waives your admission fee.
If you’re looking for history and culture this Halloween, experience Tubac Presidio State Historic Park as they host their 5th Annual Traditional Day of the Dead Celebration on October 28! Join in at the Presidio for face painting, music, and more!
Plus, Lost Dutchman State Park is telling scary stories during their Superstitions & Legends Campfire Program, a festive night of Lost Dutchman legends! The Lost Dutchman State Park Full Moon Hike is also right around Halloween, which is a great time to experience a ghoulish hike under the glow of the stars and moon.
