Phenology Workshop: Define Seasonal Changes in Plants and Animals
Oracle State Park
April 29, 2018 2:00 p.m.
Phenology refers to key seasonal changes in plants and animals from year to year – such as flowering, emergence of insects and migration of birds – especially their timing and relationship with weather and climate. Join Plant enthusiast, Hillary Cox on a short journey through the park to discuss these unique changes of nature. Free with park admission.
Oracle State Park is excited to offer a "Citizen Scientist" opportunity through the National Phenology Program. Citizen scientists will help monitor seasonal changes and add observations to the national database. The program allows public participation in scientific research while connecting people with nature to benefit our changing planet.
