Bob Elder of the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum presents a 45-minute Power-Point program will examine the taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, and behavior of some of the more common snakes found in the Tucson area. Arizona is home to over 100 species of reptiles, and over 50 of these are species of snakes...47 of which occur in Southern Arizona! This is a great place to get to know some of our more common reptile neighbors. Statistics on rattlesnake bites and the “Do’s and Don’ts” of hiking in rattlesnake country will also be discussed.
