13,000 Years of History: The Archaeology of Oracle and the San Pedro Valley

People have been using the San Pedro Valley and the area around Oracle for at least 13,000 years. Paleo-Indian mammoth hunters, Archaic hunter-gatherers, Hohokam and Salado farmers, ancestral O’odham, and Apaches have all made the region their homes.

Join Archaeologist, Linda Gregonis, in the living room of the historic Kannally Ranch House, for a talk about these Native peoples and how they thrived in our tough desert environment. Our guest speaker will be happy to look at any artifacts people might want to bring along for interpretation.

Please call for a reservation; free with park admission (520) 896-2425.
