Summer Camp at Kartchner Caverns
Kartchner Caverns State Park
Every Tuesday in June 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Every Tuesday in June, Kartchner Caverns State Park, in partnership with the City of Benson Parks & Recreation Department, will host an afternoon of activities, education, and fun for kids of all ages. Kids can experience different activities, arts & crafts, and adventures every week, culminating on week four with a guided hike and scavenger hunt in the park.
Kids can attend one or all four sessions and should come with outdoor-appropriate clothing, sunscreen and closed-toe shoes. The themes of each week are:
- Water World– Learn the importance of water conservation!
- Cave Craze– Recreate nature’s cave decorations and formations!
- Bugs, Bats, and Blooms– Study the bugs and bats who live at the park!
- Scavenger Hunt– Hike the Foothills Loop trail HELD AT 5:45 P.M.
The cost of the each of the first three dates is $5 (parents are free), and week four is $10 per family. For more information, visit AZStateParks.com/Kartchner. Guided tours inside the cave are available for an additional fee, but should be reserved in advance.

Have you ever wanted to take photos of the amazing underground world of Kartchner Caverns? Here's your chance! Arizona State Parks and Trails now offers an opportunity to take photos inside the cave every month. Registration for this tour is $125 per person.

Halloween Party at Kartchner Caverns!
Join us at Kartchner Caverns for some Halloween fun! Come for the fun and stay to learn about everyone's favorite Halloween animal - the bat! Don't forget to dress up. This event will support the Benson Food Bank.
Arizona Family Campout Program weekends are designed for families that have little or no experience camping. We will introduce you to the great experiences you can share with your family and inspire you to continue to explore the great outdoors!
