Hike to the Mines in the Kartchner Caverns State Park

Join Ranger Mike Woods for a hike on Saturday, March 25th at 2pm to visit historic mines and mining equipment on the park. On the hike, we’ll see three tungsten mines, a powder magazine building, and the ruins of a small gravity concentrator (stamp) mill. The hike will start at the park’s amphitheater, where we’ll gather briefly. The hike will be one mile in total. This is a moderate hike and suitable for all ages. Please wear boots and hats and bring water, sunscreen and snacks. The hike will last approximately 1 ½ to 2 hrs.
