Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park

June 30 will be the fourth anniversary of the Granite Mountain wildfire in Yarnell that tragically took the lives of 19 Hotshot firefighters. The day will be marked with events in and around town throughout the day. Anticipate increased hiking traffic on the memorial park trail.
Please bring plenty of water, snacks, and dress appropriately for the weather. Parking at the trailhead is limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged.

CNN - Beyond the Call of Duty
June 30th, 2018 marks the 4th anniversary of our loss of 19 wildland firefighters to the Yarnell Hill Fire. The CNN program, "Beyond the Call of Duty" helped remember the day with a segment filmed at Arizona's first Memorial State Park that honors our fallen heroes.

Shuttle Service at Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park
To help more people experience the park and pay respect to these brave men, Arizona State Parks & Trails is now offering a shuttle service to the park from the town of Yarnell. A shuttle service will take visitors to the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park and return them to their cars after their visit.
