Homolovi IV Fall Tours
Homolovi State Park
September 30; October 7, 14, 20, 27; November 4, 2018 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join a Ranger for a tour of Homolovi IV, one the park's archaeological sites that is normally closed to the public. This pueblos consisted of approximately 200 stone masonry rooms built in a step-wise fashion down the sides of a small butte on the west bank of the Little Colorado River. It was occupied for a short time in the mid 1200s.
The tours will begin at the Homolovi State Park Visitor Center and are limited to 15 participants. Please call the park to reserve your spot on the tour of your choice at (928) 289-4106. Regular $7/vehicle day use fee is required.
Note: Participants will be driving their own vehicles to the Homolovi IV site (approximately 12 miles from the visitor center with the last 1/4 mi on a dirt road).
Tours will take place weather permitting.
