Join us for our new Saturdays at the Museum series, held the first Saturday of the month through September. Participants will enjoy hands-on learning while creating historic crafts. Limit of 20 kids per activity.

Cost to attend is $4 per child and $6 per adult. Child must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required. Purchase tickets at the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area office (180 W. 1st st., Ste E) or online HERE.

Monthly themes:

June: Use a wooden peg clothespin to create an inexpensive doll from this readily-available household item.

July: Draw your own animation for use in a zoetrope, which creates the illusion of movement by spinning rapidly.

August: Bring Yuma's history to life by decorating your own steamboat, similar to the paddle-wheelers that once sailed the Colorado River.

September: Learn how to weave on a cardboard loom while creating a mug rug for your favorite hot drink.
