Catalina State Park
Saturday, September 7, 2019 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Come on out to Catalina State Park on September 7th and enjoy performances from two fantastic bands! Brian has been playing acoustic music in Tucson since 1989. He has opened for touring acts including Reverend Horton Heat, Charlie Sexton and Jerry Giddens. He has also played the 1990 SXSW festival in Austin and nightclubs in Tucson, Phoenix, Austin and Sante Fe. Brian has played with local artists including recording an album with Stefan George. His songs are about love and Armageddon. The music is infectious and danceable. The band has a unique sound with acoustic guitar, sax, bass, drums and a female backup vocalist for two part harmonies. Brian calls it Acoustic Fusion. It has jazz, rock, funk and blues fused together for an original sound. The band is full of top tier musicians, and their new CD is getting great reviews. Come see them live for a high energy show! Grey Skies Blue, who has previously played at the park under the name “Treehouse Fire”, will be opening for the Brian Berggoetz Band.
