Volunteers like Ray Stumm, enjoy helping in a variety of roles at Buckskin Mountain State Park.
Enjoy fantastic winter weather and easy access to the Colorado River when you volunteer at Buckskin Mountain. Volunteers live onsite and are allowed the use of a campsite with electric, water, and sewer for a weekly donation of 20 hours of park service in any of our volunteer positions, including: Visitor Center Volunteer, Field & Maintenance Volunteer, Landscaping Volunteer, or Programming Volunteer.
Visitor Center Volunteer
The Visitor Center Volunteer works in our entrance station to answer questions, take visitor camping fees, make reservations, and sells merchandise in our gift shop.
Field & Maintenance Volunteer
The Field & Maintenance Volunteer's responsibilities include: cleaning BBQ grills, raking sites, picking up litter, and painting parking lot spaces. Other maintenance duties as needed and assigned.
The Landscaping Volunteer helps maintain the Cactus Garden as well as performing trail maintenance.
This Volunteer helps to answer questions and give out information. They also help manage public programs that take place in Buckskin Center, including social activities like our Ice Cream Socials.
