More than 10 inches of rainfall here since December assures a rainbow of wildflower color for the next two months – in fact, we’re already smelling the season’s first fragrant Mahonia shrubs perfuming sections of the main trail, with early primrose poppies & penstemons making their appearance in the Cactus Garden. Az State Parks volunteers guide our popular Weekend Wildflower Walks – join either day for a chance to see, photograph and learn about Arroyo Lupine above Ayer Lake, Desert Wishbone along the Switchbacks, Wild Cucumber along Queen Creek - and a dozen other ephemeral flowers here at BTA.
