Home School families are invited to gather and learn about rocks and volcanic formations along our main trail during a two-hour learning activity hosted by professional geologist Scott McFadden. Amble through the Arboretum's rocky areas where kids and learn about granite, schist, quartz and other rocks commonly found in local backyards and parks.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Students age 4-18 may attend, along with 2 parents or adult chaperones. Pre-pay $2 enrollment per person (both kids and adults). $12.50 at the park for additional adults who attend. Call 520.689.2723 between 8am-5pm. Future Home School Days include The Arizona Tour; on Tuesday, March 27 and the Tree Tour Thursday, April 26. If you have questions, or want to be added to the email list for Homeschool Day announcements? Email [email protected]

* Please note: the walking tour route includes  the narrow and rocky High Trail, not suitable for strollers.*
