Arizona State Parks FoundationThe Mission of the Arizona State Parks Foundation External Link is to stand as a partner to assist Arizona State Parks in fulfilling its mission through education, community participation and financial support.

Goals

  • Increase public awareness of the variety of recreational, natural and historic resources within Arizona State Parks, and the issues that impact them;
  • Actively encourage public participation and membership in state park Friends groups, emphasizing the accomplishments and support provided by these groups and the advantages and benefits of these organizations which support and coordinate local efforts to ensure the future of the Arizona State Park system;
  • Establish endowments and/or other funds utilizing individual and corporate sponsorships and donations, independent of state park budgets, to support and provide grants for local member Friends of Arizona State Parks organizations and state park enhancement projects;
  • Serve as an umbrella organization, in cooperation with Arizona State Parks, to provide cost effective service and support to Friends of Arizona State Parks organizations;
  • Establish a central information base for local Friends of Arizona State Parks groups to exchange, share and improve activities and provide training.

Friends of Kartchner Caverns State Park

Friends of Kartchner CavernsThe Friends of Kartchner Caverns State Park (FKCSP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1999. The Mission is to ensure continued preservation of Kartchner Caverns through advocacy, education and public awareness in partnership with the community and Arizona State Parks. The Vision of FKCSP is to be the model to follow in the active support of cave research, preservation, appreciation, and education in the preservation of a living cave.

Friends of Oracle State Park

Friends of Verde River Greenway

Friends of Verde River GreenwayFriends of Verde River Greenway (FOVRG) was organized in early April 2007 and became an official affiliate of the Arizona State Parks Foundation on April 12. Their website is the Friends "headquarters, meeting space, information kiosk, photo gallery, forum and general hangout."
