Advisory Committee Openings at Arizona State Parks

(Phoenix, Arizona - February 28, 2014) - The Arizona State Parks Board is seeking recreation enthusiasts from all Arizona counties to serve in an advisory capacity. Currently, there are two openings for the Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission (AORCC). Applications are available to download at The openings will fill positions on this board are vacant as of January 31, 2014. Appointments will be made retroactive to the actual dates of expired terms.

The Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission (AORCC) serves in an advisory capacity to the Arizona State Parks Board and reviews statewide outdoor recreation plans (the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) and Trails Plan which are both completed every 5 years), and approves the use of grant funds from various funding sources for projects both at Arizona State Parks and across the state of Arizona. The Governor appoints members to three-year terms. There are two openings on AORCC.

The deadline for submitting an application for any of the listed advisory committees is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2014. Please read the application carefully.
