(Phoenix, Arizona - December 5, 2013) - Four State Parks are celebrating the holidays in December 2013 with events. The following parks are participating: Fort Verde State Historic Park, Riordan Mansion State Historic Park, Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park and Oracle State Park (see full schedule below). Other gift ideas are an Annual Pass to all of Arizona's State Parks or a gift certificate to tour the cave at Kartchner Caverns State Park.

Fort Verde State Historic Park: Until January 5, 2014, see the Fort decorated in a Victorian Christmas fashion. Trees and fireplace mantles will be adorned with unique Victorian decorations, with wreaths and garland. Also, join us on December 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come and make your own Victorian ornaments. Bring the kids and join in the fun. Then from 5 to 8:30 p.m., The Park and Hold the Fort (the Park's Friends group) will continue the celebration by hosting the traditional Candlelight tours. Re-enactors dressed in period clothing will provide guided tours along Officer's Row with hot chocolate and light refreshments to follow. There will also be events throughout the Town of Camp Verde. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., check out the Bazaar at the Community Center and the Light Parade on Main Street at 6 p.m. For more information call the park at (928) 567-3275.

Guided tours include glimpses of folklore and traditions of Christmas, both past and present. Reservations recommended, call (928) 779-4395.

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park in Tombstone: On December 13, join us for Lighting of the Luminaries with refreshments and a performance by the Tombstone School Choir.
