(Phoenix, Arizona - November 7, 2008) - Black-chinned Sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Spotted Towhees, and other winter migrant birds have returned to Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, and November is the time for you to see these migrants. Join Arboretum bird experts for guided walks Sunday, November 9, 2008; Saturday, November 15, 2008; and Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 8:30am until 11:00am each day.
Cynthia Donald and Pete Moulton, along with Troy Corman, will lead the walk on November 9th. Special guest tour guides on November 15th are Kathe Anderson and Cathy Wise.
The guided bird walks are free with park gate admission.
Maggie Leef Reception
November 15 from 10:00am until 3:00pm
Photographer Maggie Leef captures the wonders of outdoor Arizona with an impressive range of nature and wildlife photography. The works of the Eagar resident are featured in the Arboretum's Visitor's Gallery throughout November.
Visitors are invited to the Meet-the-Artist reception November 15 from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
