Arboretum Offers Huge Selection of Plants and Big Savings during Annual Fall Sale

(Phoenix, Arizona - October 8, 2008) - Visitors to Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park will have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of plants during the Annual Fall Plant Sale beginning this Saturday.

"We probably have the biggest selection of plants we've had in years," said Preston Cox, Horticultural Technician for the Arboretum. "We have a big variety of perennials, shrubs, and trees, and an outstanding selection of leaf plants, all at greatly reduced prices."

The sale begins this Saturday, October 11, and lasts through October 26. Hours of the sale are 8:00am until 5:00pm every day. Arboretum experts will be available to answer landscaping and gardening questions during sale hours.

The annual plant sale is a major fundraiser for the Arboretum, which helps support botany education and conservation. This year 12 events will complement the 17-day sale. Check the web site at http://ag.arizona.edu/bta for details.
