2. If conditions are just right, the desert comes to life in a rainbow of colors at Picacho Peak. After abundant winter rainfall, blankets of yellow Mexican Gold Poppies, purple lupines, orange and pink globemallow and many other wildflowers draw visitors into the park in February and March.
