Sunday, April 25: 1880s Period Church Service & Book Signing
A non-denominational period-style church service was held at Fort Verde on April 25th. In addition Lisa Tracy, great granddaughter of Lieutenant Colonel Egbert who served at Fort Verde in 1879, made a presentation. Lisa is author of "Objects of Our Affection: Uncovering My Family’s Past, One Chair, Pistol, and Pickle Fork at a Time" which offers an offbeat and intriguing mix of cultural anthropology, Antiques Roadshow Americana, and military history. Special thanks to the 10 volunteers who participated in period clothing!
