Tombstone Courthouse Photo Gallery

2. The original gallows were built in 1884 for the execution of five men for their part in the Bisbee Massacre. The gallows were used only once more, in 1900, for the Halderman brothers. When Arizona became a state the original gallows were chopped into kindling for the Courthouse Stoves; these gallows are a re-creation.
