Volunteer Caretaker:
The primary responsibility of the Volunteer Caretaker is to monitor the park and park assets for problems, vandalism and/or break-ins. In addition, Volunteer Caretakers may be asked to assist with basic maintenance and on-going park issues. The Volunteer Caretaker may live on-site at the park, at no cost, during the term of their Housing Agreement.

The below positions are currently on hold due to the park being closed.

Volunteering at Oracle State Park Center for Environmental Education opens the door to a vast amount of knowledge, awareness, and appreciation for the natural environment. Bring your own knowledge to the mix of experts or learn from on the job training. An annual formal training program starts at the end of January and runs from four to eight weeks.

”The Oracle Odyssey” Guides
Lead fourth through sixth graders on a trail program exploring habitats of park animals. You will then introduce miners, ranchers, and other people who have lived in this area. Students explore how humans fit into this habitat in the past, and into the future.

”The Oracle Adventure” Guides
Lead first through third graders on a trail program using the fives senses. You will also help them discover how animals use these same senses. An excellent training program is provided.

Special Events Help
Calabazas Festival, Music in the Park, and Outreach Booths at the Oaks Festival are just a few of our Special Events. Help us behind the scenes or greeting the public.

Gift Shop Sales & Visitors Contact
Greet visitors, provide park information, and help them explore our plants and animals.

Trail Workers
Trim the Park's interior trails or work on The Arizona Trail which traverses the park. Join a work crew and learn about trail erosion prevention.

Trail Patrol
Hiking, biking and horseback riding are permitted on our trails. Choose your mode of travel and report to us the conditions so our Trail Workers can quickly remedy the problem.

Ranch Hands
On going maintenance projects always need a few good hands. If you are good with a paintbrush, a fence plyer, or a shovel, join our Ranch Hands.

Gardens & Landscaping
The fabulous gardens around the ranch house always need tending. Help with planting, watering or maintaining the gardens on the three tiered patios.

Kannally Ranch House Tour Guides
Show and tell the story of the Kannallys and their ranching life. Many details of the house will bring the family to life.

Friends of Oracle State Park
Join the Friends of Oracle State Park fundraising group to help support park programs and renovation projects. Learn more about the Friends of Oracle State Park at their website.

Friends of Oracle State Park

The Friends of Oracle State Park raises funds for the restoration, preservation and operation of the historic Kannally Ranch House and its grounds at Oracle State Park. It is this group's goal to help restore and maintain the Kannally Ranch House, its gardens and grounds, keeping it as near to original condition as possible.
